PS/SJ meets with Records Staff, Court Clerks and Process Servers

The Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Judiciary, Dr Pius Bigirimana and the Chief Registrar HW Sarah Langa Siu are meeting non Judicial Staff specifically Records Staff, Court Clerks and Process Servers. 

Also present at the meeting is the Commissioner Human Resource, Mrs Apophia N Tumwine.

The meeting is to appraise them of the different updates within the Judiciary and also listen tothe different issues that impact on their service delivery.

Dr Bigirimana emphasized the need for all staff who have been issued with uniforms to wear them daily.

He cautioned them against inappropriate dressing and poor customer care. The PS/SJ called on them to serve where they have been deployed.

The Chief Registrar appreciated the different cadre of staff in courts and their role in the administration of justice.

She thanked them for being the face of the Judiciary and also for their role in keeping the court record.

The Chief Registrar said, "we have one vision, one mission and the same core values. We should internalize them and identify with them."

She cautioned them on the issue of absenteeism and urged them to build their personal brands.

The Commissioner Human Resource said there are plans to have a phased training of court clerks in sign language. On the issue of training, she clarified that permission for this is obtained from the Judicial Service Commission.

The PS/SJ is responding to different questions asked by the different staff on different issues including training, customer care and issues to do with transition into Judiciary Service.
